RAKTA- Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority announced Starting from the 6th of October 2023. RAKTA provides a New Bus service to Musandam from Ras Al Khaimah (Back and forth).

Requirements:

There are certain requirements to travel to Musandam, which is a Governorate of Oman. Bus service to Musandam will also needs to full fill these requirements.

For UAE residents:

  • Passport (Must be valid for not less than six months).
  • Emirates ID (Must be valid for not less than six months).
  • UAE residents can get a visa at the Oman border.

For UAE tourists with a single-entry visit visa:

  • Need to obtain an Oman visit visa before the journey, is must.
  • And to return to the UAE, UAE visa application has to be submitted while in Oman and must be obtained before starting the return journey

For tourists with multiple-entry visit visas:

  • Need to obtain an Oman visit visa before departure is required.
  • Re-entry can be facilitated with a multiple-entry visa. However, the passport must be valid for not less than six months to enter Oman.

Fee and Cost of Visa:

Visa can be obtained at the Oman border by paying 5 OMR or AED 50 approx. And at the UAE border, you have to pay AED 35 as an exit fee. This exit fee is also for UAE tourists.

This bus service is only available on weekends Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
