Dubai-Sharjah ferry service launched. Free rides, free parking and other details

On Saturday 27th of July Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the first marine transport service between any Emirates to ease the mobility and smooth transport. Dubai Sharjah ferry service. Commuters can sail from Al Ghubaiba Marine Station, Dubai to Aquarium Marine Station, Sharjah.

The two stations Al Ghubaiba Marine Station in Dubai and Aquarium Marine Station in Sharjah, for the operation of ferry, has selected carefully to ease the commuters and considering convenience. Al Ghubaiba Marine Station is the key marine station of Dubai and also integrated with Dubai Metro Bus Stations and taxi service. Sharjah Aquarium Marine Station has abundant parking space and is a tourist spot.  

Tickets/ Fares:

The service is very much affordable with the fare of AED 15 only in Silver Class and AED 25 for Gold Class. People with determination will have this service for free and for the children below five years.

Frequency & Timings:

The ferry will be doing 42 round trips (21 in each direction) per day. The journey will be of around 35 minutes. The frequency of the ferry service will be every 30 minutes during peak hours (From 5 AM to 9 AM in the morning and 4 PM to 8:30 PM in the evening), from Saturday to Sunday. And during off-peak hours the frequency will of One & Half hour.

The service will start at 5:15 AM from Dubai and 5 AM from Sharjah. The last ferry of the day will depart at 8 PM from Dubai and 7:30 PM from Sharjah.

Parking:

Free parking is available for ferry commuters at Sharjah Aquarium Marine Station, and internal bus service as well.

Internet:

Riders will be provided with free Wi-Fi as well.
