Lulu is one of the largest retail chains in the Middle East and Asia with around 200 plus outlets in the GCC countries. It is founded by M. A. Yusuff Ali (UAE-based Indian billionaire businessman). He is the chairman and managing director of the Group.
It had its first supermarket in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in 1995. More Supermarkets were opened in different parts of Abu Dhabi, along with Abu Dhabi several stores were opened in the emirate of Dubai. Dubai had its first Hypermarket in 2000 and the group expanded aggressively within the U.A.E and to other countries in the Middle East with several outlets across Kuwait, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen.
